Hi there, I’m Jessica! I’m a wedding and portrait photographer in Hampton Roads, Virginia. I’m so happy that you’ve found your way to my little corner of the internet!
I moved to Newport News in 2018 to work for the local newspaper as a journalist before taking the leap in 2022 to launch Jessica Albert Photography with lots of encouragement and support from my husband Josh.
I started off just offering maternity, family, and couples sessions because Josh and I were trying to grow our family. Since life rarely goes as planned, we haven't yet been able to build the family we thought we would have, so we decided to expand the business and begin offering wedding photography services.
When I'm not taking photos, you'll most likely find me with Josh, spoiling our Australian Shepherd. I also enjoy spending time with friends, lifting weights, and walking on the beach. I could walk on the beach every day, and I’d still get excited to feel the sand between my toes.

I want everyone to feel safe and welcome here. But more than that, I want you to feel celebrated.
I believe that love is love. I want to document your love story and all of the things that make it beautiful.
I believe that good families come in all different shapes and sizes. I know not every family has one married mom and dad. Whether you're a single parent, co-parenting, a legal guardian or someone else, I want to use inclusive language during your session that accurately reflects your unique family dynamics.
I welcome clients of every race, religion, nationality, gender, and sexual orientation. I don't believe hatred or discrimination has a place in photography, or in life.
